The Good Egg by Jory John

5.0

There is always a good egg in the bunch. The one that helps everyone and is willing to be there to lend a helping hand. But sometimes, being a good egg can scramble you up.

In the Good egg, John illustrates how children may feel overwhelmed by trying to be good. They may feel anxiety ver helping others continually and not taking time for themselves. It is important to lend a helping hand, be a good person and take care of others. Yet, children need to understand the concept of self-care so they do not burn themselves out. This picture book does this perfectly by having kids follow the good egg. The illustrations are adorable and creative while still being relatable. Although, after reading this book they may not want to eat any eggs...... or maybe just the bad ones.
