The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

4.0

Wilde's prose is beautiful and thought provoking, but reading this I was in between countries and hotels and hostels and rooms so I don't think I was really in the right mind to correctly sit down and appreciate it. Either way, from the bits that did hold my attention I thought a lot about what he was trying to say through this, and with some university lecture background on dandyism and aestheticism I definitely hold an appreciatiation for what Wilde was doing outside of my actual experience reading it. I just wish I could say more. I really want to appreciate works by classical LGBT authors.
