I think this book had a very impactful message that needed to be said to the world, but I just didn’t like the way it happened. The concept of two authors working on a book is very nice, and I like the fact that they made each author write the character that they would relate most to (regarding race). However, I just felt like they could have done so much more with this plot. It was underwhelming, and I feel like the message they were trying to get across got lost in the process of writing.

They could have done more with the riot, police, looting, and so much more. They could have gone more in depth and made this book actually interesting and informative.

With all of this, I like how Campbell’s mindset changed in the end of the book.
