Took me a while to start and then finish. Unfortunately I felt the characters did not get fleshed out at all so I felt it was just a jumble of characters that I did not really feel for nor cared about.
Some things the characters did seemed convoluted and unnecessary…
The ending was somewhat typical and the villain was easily guessed which made it less fun for me personally.
This is the first of his books I’ve read so I’ll give another book a go to be fair.
I did have high expectations of this book due to friends LOVING it, so perhaps that tainted the story when it didn’t fulfil my expectations.
