Magnus Chase has fully stolen my heart. I am no longer a skeptic. I love this boy, and I love his story.
Samirah is a badass queen and I am thriving in this boy/girl friendship that never once wavered.
Hearth and Blitz are back and better than ever, and while we explored some of Blitzen's background in The Sword of Summer, we got to get to know Hearth more in this one, and it only made me love and admire him more.
Now. I don't want to get spoiler. But if a single being in this universe touches a hair on Alex Fierro's head I will eat them, and excrete them, and feed them to the flowers. Protect A.F. until the end.

I don't know what else to say. This book is rich with Norse Mythology, the old stories, yes, but this new, exciting, funny, moving new one as well.

Riordan keeps upping his game by representing more and more diverse people in his books and I am. here. for. it. These characters aren't used as tools, they're not here to embellish the background, they come through with their messages loud and clear.
