Crimen en la granja by Minette Walters

4.0

I ended up reading my first Minette Walters novel when Chickenfeed was pushed through my letterbox in April 2015 by some kind soul from our local independent bookstore. They undertook this charitable act as part of World Book Night 2015, which kicked off on 23 April, the day Walter's Quick Reads book appeared on my doormat. Run by the charity The Reading Agency, World Book Night is an annual event that occurs every 23 April. As their website (https://worldbooknight.org) states:
"Events are run up and down the country by individuals and organisations to celebrate the difference that reading makes to people’s lives, and everyone from publishers to librarians, and local businesses to the general public can get involved."
A splendid idea, indeed! And, what better way of being introduced to World Book Night than by receiving Walter's 'delicious' little tale - based on true events - of the chicken farm murder in Blackness, Crowborough, East Sussex, in December 1924! Quite a page-turner, I must confess ;)
