A Corner of White by Jaclyn Moriarty

4.0

Very fun book! The writer has a very quirky style which took me a while to get used to, but once I did I really enjoyed it. This is an interesting tale, realistic on the one hand, yet full of fun fantasy elements. It was a bit long - some of the plot could have been condensed. For about half of the book it was fairly slow. However, Madeleine and her friends are great characters that I didn't mind spending some extra time with. The book wraps up pretty well - it could almost be a stand-alone. I am looking forward to reading the sequel!
