*No spoilers* It’s not great, really over written. There really wasn’t much of a plot, and it kind of felt like we were building to nothing the entire time. I have heard that this is one of his worst books though so I would be curious to read another one by him that is considered one of the better ones because there were some moments, especially towards the end that were more interesting. 

I think it is also very clear by the end of this book that this author was not a fan of Catholicism…. As he points out a few big flaws in the Catholic ideologies. 

If you are super Catholic and/or an idealistic person I do not recommend reading/finishing this book. You won’t like it.
