OMG. Wow. Someone call Bridget Kemmerer I wanna know the secrets of writing such amazing books!
It was so well written and the descriptions were just the perfect amount. I hate when there’s so much description you lose any interest in the actual story. But not in this masterpiece!
The plot was really well developed and it wasn’t just a dumb love story like the description of the book suggests, but there’s much more to it. How Harper slowly adjusts to the new world, makes friends, how Rhen tries to gain the loyalty of his people with lies mwahahaha now he’ll have to pay the price for them and I only wait in anticipation of what it’ll be cause Rhennnn ily!!
So, I usually dont like the protagonists but Harper was great and portrayed as a badass girl but with enough flaws and vulnerability to appear humans unlike many books. And by the middle of the book I was like ok Rhen marry me hahaha cause he’s so hot and regal and soft hearted and loyal and has such a sweet personality under that arrogant demeanour. Grey was soo stoic and everything but I really liked him as well.
The end was truly insane tho.
Waiting for what the next book has in store cause this book was a fantastic read and I’m glad I picked it up!
