The White Rose by Amy Ewing

4.0

I had no idea that this world could be expanded. I was concerned about how a sequel to the first novel would turn out. This pleasantly surprised me!

The best part of this book was the expansion of the world and setting. Seeing beyond the jewel was amazing. From the Companion House to the White Rose.

The build up of the rebellion was really well done. From the Black Key group to the final plan Violet and Ash came up with. That will lead to hopefully quite the explosive ending.

I was especially worried about character progression. Ash has iffy development, but Violet and especially Raven had stellar progression.

I'm actually really excited to see how this series ends after that cliffhanger. (Assuming this is a trilogy.)
