Not what I expected but surprisingly good. I kept reading and was entertained. I mostly enjoyed the fantasy elements and not so much the science fiction elements. I have a few issues with some things but if your looking for an easy read that doesn’t require knowledge of the Cosmere than this was fun. Just remember to suspend belief a bit and try not to be too annoyed by the amnesia subplot and the sort of poorly executed romance.
