I’m confused. I honestly didn’t know if I loved this book or was bored and indifferent to it the entire time I was reading it and I can’t completely articulate why!! I think this was just one of those books that started off so insanely good and then slowly lost my interest.
I loved the queer, bi, and nonbinary representation in this, it was perfection! I loved the magic system, and the found family. But the characters fell flat for me and the overall plot had so much potential but there was a lot of telling and not enough showing (if that makes sense).
Still unsure if I’m going to complete the trilogy… I just have no pull to jump back into this world!
