Real Friends Talk About Race: Bridging the Gaps Through Uncomfortable Conversations by Hannah Summerhill, Yseult P. Mukantabana

informative

4.5

This book is perfect for anyone who wants to enrich their friendships and overall become a better friend. I learned so much from this book, but my biggest takeaway was that to be a better ally, it is more important to be open to learning and able to admit mistakes than it is to be perfect. This book introduced me to a lot of new ideas and made me confront my own biases in a way that was challenging but doable. Listening to the audiobook was especially effective because it was read by both authors.
