2 hours 42 minutes - I bought this book in 2021, when I first started properly realising I wasn't cis. It seemed symbolic of something, buying this book, so I decided I wouldn't read it until I had fully accepted my identity. Recently, I got to the point that I wasn't going to fully figure myself out any time soon, and that was okay, so I picked up this book. I wasn't expecting it, but this book was perfect for that. Felix doesn't have it all sorted out either, and that becomes part of his storyline.
I loved the characters in this book - all of them felt so real and three dimensional and loveable. The two love interests had so much chemistry with Felix, so much so I was physically reacting to it, smiling or having to put the book down for a moment. And the whole story just filled me with so much emotion. By the end of the book I was full on sobbing, and I don't think a book has ever made me do that before. This book is just so so good that I can hardly put it into words. I know that it will mean a lot to me for years into the future.
