The historical perspective of Nella and Eliza are a lot better than Caroline's contemporary chapters. I honestly thought Caroline was kind of annoying and dumb. I'm also confused how she had a history degree and yet had no idea how to research using a database?? And her husband has clearly been incredibly manipulative for their entire relationship so I'm not sure how she stayed with him for 10 years and

left him gently like there is a future for them once she figures herself out.
