Kenan and Lotus's story was nothing short of magical. I think their story is my favorite, which is saying something because I didn't know it would top August and Iris. Kennedy Ryan painted such a vivid image of these characters. Like the series as a whole, I felt like I was watching a movie or tv drama. The beginning was a little slow, albeit necessary for the MCs. Once Lotus and Kenan started opening up to each other, it was game over. Their words were so impactful on each other that I will definitely be thinking of those words often.

MCs like Kenan are my favorite. He's all strong and silent, but the minute you put his soulmate in front of him, it's like something cracks him open. Even though he had to be patient with Lotus, he never let that stop him from being open about how much he wanted her. As Lotus would say, there was something regal about him. When he said something, you listened, or in my case, you underlined lol. All the notes he sent to Lotus throughout the story were so romantic!!! I also loved the way he found his way back to being a present father to Simone.

Lotus deserved everything she got. I loved her story. Her story was handled with so much care and attention. My favorite scene was when she finally was able to find closure for herself when she went to visit her mother. It was really empowering. In general, Lotus represented power. I know I'm repeating myself, but like Kenan, Lotus' words were just as impactful.
