Misadventures with a Country Boy by Elizabeth Hayley

3.0

The best part of this audiobook was that it was short and the male voice was narrated by Teddy Hamilton.

**Spoilers below**
Brooke is trying to get a lift somewhere/anywhere when Cole helps her but neither are fourth coming with the reasons for their trips.

While Cole is trying to get to see his army friend’s grave in Oregon, Brooke is escaping from her restrictive life and talent agent parents as a B level pop singer who doesn’t want to sign a new contract for a tour coming up.

Song the way, we get the one bed trope and they have sex (not the steamiest but enjoyable enough) and they go sightseeing on their way to Oregon.

When using a credit card for a spa trip for her and Cole, her family and body guard are alerted and come to bring her home. Cole, not thinking he’s enough for her now that he knows she’s famous, pushes her away and let’s her leave without a fight.

After performing her new song on a morning show, and before announcing a tour invite she received, Cole shows up, which gives her the confidence to decline the tour invite.
