I really enjoyed this nod to the horror film genre. If you’re a fan of horror films and you’ve found yourself thinking naughty things about masked slasher film villains, I highly recommend this book. The MFC is sassy and cool; the MMC is definitely a morally grey, briefly touch-her-and-die, dirty talking anti-hero . . . Actually, he’s the full-on villain, but really HOT, so forgiven. I believe this is a newer author, and I really hope they continue to write dark romance because holy smokes can they write a steamy scene! Took points off because of some grammar errors, and it was too short to have any character development, backstories, or a more in-depth plot. Still a good story, and definitely an author to watch!
Graphic: Sexual content
Moderate: Violence and Murder
Minor: Cursing
Please please please check trigger warnings if you are faint of heart. It’s too short and fast paced to contain too much disturbing stuff, but it does have its moments! Some quick ones for ya: Murder, violence, sexual content, knife play, unprotected sex, etc.
