I always really appreciate Albert's characterization. And how she writes children. The kids did take a bit more of a backseat in this book than I anticipated, but it didn't harm their portrayal. I also always enjoy the little gems of other queer rep in background characters.
Graphic: Sexual content and Grief
Moderate: Drug use and Medical content
Minor: Cursing and Medical trauma
Discussions of vehicle crashes and traumatic injuries, but no detail. Grief content is focused on the process of moving on rather than the loss itself.
