I should have paid more attention to the page count in this book before starting...I went into this excited to see how this love story unfolded because I was not expecting this to be insta-love.
The age gap in this felt unnecessary...like why did she need to be closer to 20 and him closer to 40?! As a gamer romance, even knowing he was a retired pro-gamer...I expected them both to be mid 20s or both early 30s...the age gap, for me, just gave a cringy and gross aspect that wasn't necessary. Granted in my experience guys over 30 that date girls barely over 18 tend to be assholes that are controlling so maybe the age gap is totally great for others 🤷🏽♀️
