Can I just say, the romance in this book was atrocious. His name was Kevin, first of all.
Second, if we needed to have a love interest radicalize Mara I feel like one of the previously-Grey warriors would have worked just as well. They had been living outside of the system for years and would have had time to reflect on it and learn to work around it. Instead we get a random Noble from fantasy Europe to lecture Mara about why his superior white society doesn’t believe in slavery and ALWAYS treats their women equally? I just don’t buy it.
