Super interesting plot, couldn’t put the book down the whole time i was reading. the fact that it’s a true story blew my mind the whole time i read. nothing good happens in the book, it feels like, just tragedy after tragedy, which feels like a constant test of the resiliency of the characters. the writing style wasn’t my favorite, he did a really good job telling the story and keeping it simple, i guess i’m just used to more artistic writing styles, but aside from that, the book was amazing. weird because i’m not really into the whole world war 2 historical fiction scene, but i’m glad i read this.
