i liked it. It was a dense read. The writing read like a classic, you have to really pay attention. It took me a while to read it. There were some slower parts but most of it was interesting and kept me engage. I do not know ho someone got the musical from this. 

I wish we got to see more activist Elphaba, and more Glinda and Elphaba. Too much was dedicated to Boq - those were my least favorite chapters. I also wish there was expansion on the treatment of Animals.

All in all in was a good and interesting read. I do not know if I will read the rest of the series.
