Tschick, by Wolfgang Herrndorf

3.0

Maik Klingenberg is fourteen years old and has no friends at school. Then he meets Tschick. Tschick's from Russia and has a drinking problem, just like Maik's mom. When his mom goes to rehab and his dad on a business-trip, he's left alone at home.
Tschick decides to steal a car and together they make a road-trip through Germany.

I need to read three books for my German class and stumbled across this one. I couldn't get through it first. It was a little boring and I didn't like the way it was written.
Later on it became more fun and I actually started to like it. That's why I gave it three stars: the message behind.
