Henry Ashworth and Ivo Robinson met as stepbrothers and became best friends and partners in crime against their parents. Ivo, a photojournalist, comes home to the home they inherited together from Henry's father (not out of the goodness of his heart) having survived a roadside bomb and being shot. He's suffering from PTSD and grounded by his agent while he recovers. Henry gets him painting again.
Henry has loved Ivo for years, but doesn't want to make a move because he doesn't want to lose him as a friend. His friends set him up on dates, hoping to get Ivo to make a move on Henry. He does, but Henry thinks it's just sex. And what happens when Ivo goes back to photojournalism? How is Henry going to handle that? He could be killed.
I liked both Henry and Ivo, though Henry was a bit insecure and Ivo was a bit reckless. But that made them a real couple.
I have to say, though, that my favorite character in the whole series is Dylan. There's a hilarious scene with Henry and Dylan in this book. Gabe is great in it, too.
