I read this book straight after Terrifying Tudors and found that my main qualms with that book were ameliorated in this one. I did find it was a bit repetitive in some sections but this book was pretty fun; considering the Stuarts are seen as the 'dull' period between the crazy Tudor and Georgian eras by many, this book didn't feel dull itself.
