The Rose Code by Kate Quinn
5.0
this book was OUTSTANDING. i literally couldn't put it down; i picked it back up sometime this afternoon and read it all the way to the end and it was suddenly 9pm.
everything about this book was masterfully done. the characters are imperfect but realistic, and you're hoping for the best for all the heroines at the end of the story regardless of their faults. the pacing and plot were fantastic, and the many twists kept things interesting. there were so many beautiful moments and relationships in this book that could either make your heart soar or make it break into pieces. the historical details were also FANTASTIC. i had some background info on the enigma code and the codebreakers of ww2 before this, but learned so much more (yes ik it's historical fiction but many of the details were historically accurate)
