Jesus, this book! I feel like I have no words, but I’ll give a half hearted attempt- half because the other half of me is still stuck in this book. I wish, with everything, I could go back and read it again for the first time.
Joey. Our sweet Joey, yall, goes THROUGH it. His childhood, his home, his teenage years. Jesus. Aoife too, yeah, but my heart was with Joey. Through all the shit, I felt like Aoife, I couldn’t let him go.
I would’ve happily read another hundred pages because, and this is my only negative, that ending was too soon. I wanted more of them happy.
I’m going back to my original statement, no words. With this book I can see why people write reviews after thinking, I can’t think. I honestly don’t see how anyone could give this less than 5 starts, it was… Jesus this book.
Oh, yeah, and a big “fuck you” to the Lynch parents. Yes, Marie included.
