The Temporary Roomie by Sarah Adams

funny lighthearted

4.0

I am fully convinced that I'll buy into anything that Sarah Adams is selling. To date I've thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of her books.

THE TEMPORARY ROOMIE is book two of the It Happened in Nashville duology but can be read as a standalone. Drew lets Jessie move into his spare bedroom while her house is being renovated. This act of kindness is not without strings - fake relationship strings.

Sarah Adams always has me laughing out loud throughout her books and this one was no different. I thought this one was a really fun read with a prank war occurring between the two main characters, Drew and Jessie. The dual POV storytelling allows for ample connection with both characters.

I loved the enemies-to-lovers vibe with the best friend's brother angle. I loved the relationship that develops between the two main characters, as well as the sharp banter between them. I enjoy that Adams writes closed door romance that still exhibits loads of chemistry and tension. I really enjoyed the ending, tying the story off nicely!
