Heaven by Alexandra Adornetto

4.0

I gave in. I finished the entire trilogy. I have this "bad" habit of starting a series and, if I happen to have all books available, finishing it in one sitting, though this, technically, took two sittings. Hehe.

"Heaven" provided the ending I expected to the trilogy. Was I thrilled by the manner in which the issue regarding an angel and a mortal being together was resolved? Not really.
SpoilerThe fact that Bethany seemed to be one heck of a selfish angel who was too busy thinking about her wants and only remembering everyone else's needs in hindsight allowed me to not feel one bit of pity for her when she decided to give up her wings to become human. I mean, what was the alternative? Xavier dying and joining her in Heaven? Since Xavier is a halfling, any future children he and Bethany have will still have angel blood flowing through them... So, it's still a happily-ever-after for the couple.

Setting aside my slight dislike for Bethany, this concluding story was good and kept me interested enough to keep flipping the pages until the end.
