Frankenstein: The 1818 Text by Mary Shelley

4.0

“…still I desired love and fellowship, and I was still spurned. Was there no injustice in this?”

Another reread for the year, and one worth revisiting. It’s beautifully written and after over two centuries still stands to have created one of the most sympathetic antagonists in literature (in my opinion). I’m bumping the book up to a 4.5/5.
