I've heard about the Murderbot Series for a while and finally decided to jump in and start reading it. All Systems Red is the perfect length for the story it's telling, and I found the narrator (murderbot) to be very compelling as it wrestles with its own humanity and robotness and what that means for it.
Questions of robot/AI humanity are ones becoming more prevalent in our current society, and I think Wells does a fantastic job in this of making it an internal and external struggle. We see it in both our narrator and the Humans.
Plot-wise, this is clearly the setting up of a longer journey, which does that very well; I look forward to more of Murderbot!
