It was a fun take on a tried and true structure. Haunted house, but it's a burger joint! And the narrator is your unwilling/disbelieving participant which was great at allowing for a bridge to give exposition without taking away from the other characters' experiences with real supernatural events.

All that said, this was effectively new set dressing on an old story and the dressing felt thin at times. It felt like the book danced around the horror for 97% of the book's duration. At a certain point that starts to feel more like drawing it out than building tension.
