Leopard's Prey by Christine Feehan

5.0

I have said before that Christine Feehan is one of my favourite authors and that will never change. I love everything she writes.

Leopards Prey follows Remy Boudreaux, a homicide detective (who we were first introduced to in Savage Nature) and Bijou (Blue) Breaux a jazz singer and daughter to Bodrie Breaux, a very popular rock and roll singer.

Remy knew Blue from when she was an 8 year old child. He rescues her one night from an incident and when he goes to take her home is disgusted by what he finds her father and friends doing and decides she is not safe at home either. He leaves her with Pauline Lafont (a character we again first met in Savage Nature). Not long after that he left and joined the service and never saw her again, other than regularly following her in the news.

Remy is now back home and Blue is also back home to stay. It is not long before sparks fly and Remy realises Blue is his mate.

Remy is investigating a serial killer called the Bone Harvester who leaves 4 bodies over around a two week period. When Blue notices that the places the murders take place are all the same place/date/month/year of here she has done gigs they start to wonder if it is a coincidence or are they linked somehow to Blue. And then when attempts to murder Blue start to happen, Remy needs to solves things as quickly as possible, however there are multiple suspects for who could be after her.

I have read this book 6 times now, and each time I forget who the Bone Harvester killer is until his name comes up.
