Cold Mourning by Brenda Chapman

4.0

A mystery that is more about the characters and the setting than the who-done-it.
And I enjoyed the characters and the setting. I am immediately onto book 2.

This book introduces you to Kala Stonechild and Jacques Rouleau who are both people that anyone would want to know better. But both are focused on their jobs, which is murder.

Note about the audiobook:
I am not sure if it is the production, the narrator, or the writing; but I had to constantly rewind to figure out whose voice was speaking. The narration shifts throughout, and I often wouldn't notice the shift immediately.
