Get your cowboy hat, and saddles ready because it’s time to go to Chestnut Springs, and dive into Rhett Eaton and Summer Hamilton’s story! With Rhett being the most notable known bull rider, he had a big fan base, and obviously many sponsorships, including most of them being related to milk. When one camera accidentally caught Rhett saying he HATED milk, he immediately lost one of his most popular sponsorships, and not too long after punched a paparazzi on camera. A big mess that Hamilton Elite needed to clean up, and the place where Summer worked at alongside her Dad, who happened to be Rhett’s agent. Trying to restore Rhett’s image, and hopefully not lose more deals, Summer was tasked with essentially babysitting Rhett and making sure he stayed out of trouble, but that was the last thing Rhett wanted. With the small town setting, the world of professional bull riding, forbidden love (agent’s daughter), and more, I was more than excited to read about Summer and Rhett.

Ms. Summer Hamilton was use to her Dad’s tough and stern approach especially when it came to work so, she was fully prepared to go up against Rhett. I immediately liked Summer and how she got down to business. Summer could have easily outed Rhett to his family in being his “babysitter”, but she flawlessly (hehe no pun intended) redirected the conversation. Summer was hard working and wanted to prove to not just her dad, but also everyone at work that she deserved her position and despite working alongside her dad, she earned her place at the company. Summer could have easily been the type of person to roll off and meet the demands of others, but she didn’t let anyone, not even Rhett get in the way of what she wanted to accomplish, which was fix Rhett’s image, and show she was much more capable than people realized. A strong, smart, sassy character that you couldn’t help admiring.

Rhett was well known, and popular as a professional bull rider, and also being a ladies man, but behind that there was so much more to him. Rhett had his playful, flirty moments, as well as kind of grumpy in the beginning towards Summer, but when it came to his family he was able to relax and fully be himself. I really enjoyed seeing the family part of the story, and how they were all close, and would tease/play around with each other. Rhett was the youngest out of his family, and he grew up kind of feeling like he got lost in the midst of his other siblings. I actually did like Rhett and in his P.O.V. Chapters how he talked about his family not necessarily being on board with his bull riding career, and being seen as nothing to be taken seriously. Rhett had a lot of heart to him, and while he was known for being quite the ladies man, he was really just wanting to be with someone that understood him. With Summer coming into the fold to help save Rhett’s career, he slowly found himself wanting more of Summer’s praise, her doting on him was something he never knew he wanted before. To have someone truly be there for him was a realization that came about in the story, and Rhett realized that Summer was becoming part of his life that he wanted more of.

I really loved the relationship that Rhett and Summer formed over the course of the story. While initially Rhett was totally against Summer shadowing him, and babysitting him, he gradually got over it since he couldn’t deny that he enjoyed Summer’s company, as well as how she didn’t back down against him. The friendship that Summer and Rhett formed was pretty great, and created for the perfect transition for them to become romantically involved. Obviously, from the beginning both Rhett and Summer found each other attractive, but the connection they formed allowed them to be open, honest, and vulnerable about themselves which they hadn’t done in what seemed like a long time. I loved the natural chemistry between Rhett and Summer, and there were some funny moments like sending milk based drinks to Rhett while at the bar, or even how Rhett found out about Summer having his poster when she was younger. There was a good amount of lighthearted energy mixed in with the tension between Summer and Rhett that i throughly enjoyed.

Now, I knew that Rhett was a wild, charming man who did whatever he wanted, but omg I was in for quite the (pleasant) surprise when it came to Rhett in the spicy scenes! Rhett was not just protective over Summer, but the way his dominant side came out alongside his dirty talk! (Gasp) have mercy that man was sexy! With the cowboy innuendos of riding , Summer wasn’t the only one to catch on to its meaning, and my goodness did she ride Rhett all the way! OMG! The spice between Rhett and Summer was great, and there were some memorable moments from the whipped cream, stealing moments alone together, Summer trying on the chaps Rhett got her which led to even some steam! Those were just a few, but while reading I was very intrigued reading how things played out between Summer and Rhett. Yeah, definitely enjoyed the spice and it was just pure desire and so much more that built more upon Summer and Rhett’s romance!

I FINALLY READ IT! WOO! This was one of those books I kept hearing about, and it rightly lived up to the things I had heard. Rhett and Summer were amazing! From teasing, and the great banter between them to the spicy scenes, and romance, it was all fantastic! I wasn’t expecting to get emotional on some parts, but I guess on a certain level it spoke to me which I greatly appreciated. I genuinely loved the family aspect of this story, and I could see just how close all the Eaton’s were with one another. Even with some tough love from Cade, or the goofy side to Beau, and the quiet Jasper, it was clear that all these men shared a close bond with one another. I loved the small town of Chestnut Springs, the kind of town you feel the closeness among everyone, and can’t get enough of. Summer was such a lovely character and became stronger over the course of the story. Both Summer and Rhett had great character development, and I loved seeing them reveal their vulnerabilities to each other. I cannot stress how much I really enjoyed Summer and Rhett’s story! This was so much fun to read, but also held me in a tight grip that I couldn’t stop reading! I get the hype now with this cowboy, now time to find myself one, and ride off into the sunset! Overall, an amazingly sweet, beautiful, passionate, spicy, fun book that captivated me! I also loved the epilogue and bonus epilogue, those added even more loving moments between Summer and Rhett!
