Maxwell's Demon by Steven Hall

5.0

Meta-textual sentimentality shouldn't be this compelling. The religion, book publishing, relationship, detective, midlife crisis stuff mostly just sits there. If I squint, the whole thing is beautiful and I'm worried what a more serious or detailed look could reveal. It feels like he's writing for a very narrow set of interests which just happen to neatly be exactly what I want right now.
