What a doozy of a novel! I loved this. I wish I hadn't set it aside for a few days to finish an ARC, because I did lose some momentum that way.

This book is incredibly well done, and the voice is fantastic. It jumps off the page! I'd definitely read more of this author's work in the future.

As a reader, I have a flaw where I adore unreliable narrators, identify just how unreliable they are... and then promptly let myself be swept away by them. I knew I couldn't trust Janina, but oh, I did, I did!

By the end, I felt like this novel had some serious John Wick vibes, though it would never be as popular as that franchise due to the deeply eccentric writing style and slow pacing. But damn. This one was good.
