A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf

5.0

This book was not what I expected, and in a a very good way. Woolf does an amazing job of working through the reasons that women have not left a mark in the history of literature. She strives to be impartial, and I think she succeeds. Much of what she writes here is still relevant today - as much as things have changed, they have remained the same. It's not perfect (she is a product of her time in many ways), but she leaves you with plenty to turn over in your mind.
