Nightbitch itself is an art piece. This book was absolutely excellent. Purely encompassing the struggle between being prim and proper, and feeling like a feral animal. Following the story of this mother felt so intimate. Yoder's writing style allows the reader to truly feel a part of her character's heads, without forcing you into a jarring first person perspective. A book for horror fans, art fans, and mothers. I went into this book with the expectation of it being similar to The Yellow Wallpaper, but I was so pleasantly surprised to find that it surpassed the quality of even that classic.

Nightbitch took me around 4 hours to read.
