 This is one of the most WTF books I have ever read that I don't know whether I love it or just hate it . From the southern accent writing, to the horrible characters. Yet it's such a fascinating book, this is one of the only times I won't my enjoyment be a big part of the rating. It's a 4 star book for sure, but personally its a 2 bordering a 1.5 
My head canon is that the sister framed the Mc for burning down the barn, after all she said she'd kill him multiple times and even thought about using her little brother to do it. And might I add he was the only one who saw the Mc burn down the house, whose to say the sister didn't put him up to it. I think she's a garbage human being, I feel bad for her getting raped but that won't change my hatred for her
