Good Indian Daughter by Ruhi Lee

emotional reflective medium-paced

4.0

When Ruhi Lee finds out she's having a daughter she's not sure she'll be a good mother. She spends a long time reflecting and doing the work of breaking toxic cycles of parenting.

This is a touching memoir that says the quiet parts out loud. Lee reflects on her family and tells us about her journey breaking away from being what others expect from her into who she wants to be so that she can be the mother her daughter deserves.
