I'll admit, as I read the first three books in the series ... I got a little burned out with the story. I had to put the series on hold for a bit and read some other, non-angel type books. I did, and figured I'd come back to this while the story and characters were still pretty fresh in my minds.
I don't love this series. It was a little hard for me to get through, but I did want a conclusion, and some questions answered. This book did that.
I really struggle reading religious books. Not that this was spiritual in anyway, just all the talk of angels. Of God, of Lucifer. Of relics and ancient cities. Just not my favorite topic and I had to push through. That said, I do think I actually enjoyed this book a little more, maybe it was knowing that things were coming to an end. The end wasn't exactly a surprise, there had been hints and foreshadowing.
So anyway ... I'm done.
