The Night I Spent With Aubrey Fisher by Christopher M. Tantillo

5.0

First note: check your trigger warnings. If you are okay with those, I highly recommend. I had so many moments in this book where I related to the MMC Gray… from the first chapter when he describing the moment you wake up and just before getting out of bed to the crippling anxiety and grief that can shake you to your core in a moments notice without warning. This book was everything I expected and more. I loved the rawness. I loved Aubrey and how she was trying to help Gray even though she needed him just as much as he needed her during that night. Reefer was a fun character - and an example of real friendship (not the romanticized movie friendships). I appreciated how the story ended. It felt real to me. I am excited to read it again sometime with a new set of eyes for the story and its characters. Well done to the author for superb writing!
