This book is really wholesome and exactly what I needed this dark winter. It is well written, without being too "Christian" for a book written in 1954. It does a great job of highlighting the good parts, while also acknowledging the pain and mental stresses that the characters have suffered. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed this!
