Together We Burn by Isabel Ibañez

Honestly, for me, this was just kind of... boring. The idea was really cool, combining flamenco with matador-esque dragon fighting, but everything about it just fell so flat. The dragons never felt like independent creatures with wants and needs and desires of their own, mainly because once Zarela was on board, they just did whatever she wanted, which didn't make any sense at all as she had to do absolutely nothing to cultivate a relationship with Roja or any of the others. As for the rest of it, it hit all of the completely predictable YA beats and therefore never really managed better than 'okay.'
