I like the concept, the writing was easy to follow, the plot development was good, and overall, it was a good story.
But I just really didn't like the FMC. She had so much 'not like other girls' energy. She did get a bit better as the story progressed, but she was just so damn bitter.
Don't get me wrong, I understand what failing marriages can do to people, I get taking your anger out on others and just throwing it someplace so it will stick.
But whenever she talked crap about anyone, she was SO MUCH harsher on other women to the point where it just felt kind of gross.
Again, she got a bit better, but I don't think I'll continue the series.
P.s. but no MC pregnancy tropes, so that's a plus!
