This was a fun yet slightly annoying read. I liked the twists and turns, the writing is great, I’m just a frustrated  by the ending. But the Thursday Murder Club members are wonderful, so I’m definitely going to keep reading the series.

the ending was extremely frustrating for both murders. We ended right where we started with Tony Curran and the motive and reason for killing Ian Ventham made very little sense. Why would Penny have buried someone at a the convent? And why, when she’s on her deathbed would her husband want to stop anyone from finding out she’d committed a murder? She can’t talk, she wouldn’t be able to stand trial, so why would her husband kill a man then kill himself for “love”? I know it makes you do crazy things, but that was irrational. It felt honestly like lazy writing because there WASN’T a good motive/reason to kill him. But he was dead so there had to be an explanation.
