okay got to say i love the sequel much more!
I don’t even know why. I just find it much more intriguing, especially the siren parts in it.
love the slow-ish burning romance in this duology, like Riden and Alosa is everything! love their little banter!
also the loses in this is so much more devastating, but it didn’t make me cried. though i must say, i was scared half to death when Roslyn was shot, and it read “She fall.”
I really really enough the mother - daughter dynamic in this, like I know it’s a bit abrupt but I still really enjoyed it.
funny enough, I took like 2 days to read around 90% of this book, while taking a few days to read the first 10%. I must say, this duology isn’t easy to get into. you have to commit for it to be good. and the beginning is just meh for me. like it doesn’t really intrigued me and sometimes I read through it really slowly.
but still good.
oh the crew though! I think the crew was definitely the highlight of this duology! Love the freakin’ crew so much!!
