This story just is everything.

From the feminist conversations to discussions on what is means when a woman takes on something heavily guarded by men. The way Puck gets so tired by both the men on the island trying to force her to quit and the women in the media trying to forcefully spoon feed her these feminist angles when all Puck really wanted to do is just race to save her family. Nothing about Puck doing the races is motivated to by the feminist movement but she is still very well aware that she is creating history.

I don't know I am obsessed with seeing the pov of characters who achieve something revolutionary but having that not even be in their desires to achieve that thing. It's just interesting to see someone who calls out the double standard there is to treat the men who participate in something as only a contender when the world is going to be treating the women as a political symbol with no intention to care about the contender half.

Of course I also love Sean and Puck's relationship and how it all unfolds so strongly. Sean being someone who loves the sea so much and everything about the races means everything to him and have him just become this person who evolves to become so much more.

Just yes exactly.
